Ashlyn Gere was born on September 14, 1967 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ashlyn had dreams of becoming an actress but struggled getting work for years. She mainly appeared in horror films such as "Evil Laugh".

Ashlyn Gere broke into the adult world after she was discovered by adult director Paul Thomas. He cast Ashlyn in the second part of his "MASSEUSE" series after seeing her in a PENTHOUSE spread.

In 1992 Ashlyn Gere received the award from the X-Rated Critics' Organization for John Leslie's legendary adult movie 'Chameleons'. Then in 1993 Ashlyn Gere received an award from the Adult Video News for the movie 'Two Women'. In 1995 Ashlyn Gere received yet another award, this time for Paul Thomas's movie, 'Masseuse #02'. Ashlyn Gere received her final award in 1995 from the Adult Video News for the movie 'Body and Soul'.

In 1995 Ashlyn Gere decided to quit the adult industry and work as a stripper. It was at this point that Ashlyn's mainstream acting career finally seemed to take off. Gere starred in a few low budget flicks but managed to win a part in four episodes of the SciFi-Series SPACE: ABOVE AND BEYOND (1995).The series was directed by X-FILES screenwriter Glen Morgan and this led to Ashlyn being cast in the "Blood" episode of the cult TV series, THE X-FILES. When the X-FILES creator Chris Carter launched his spin-off series "Millennium" he cast Ashlyn as a character named "Clear Knight" for two episodes.
